Basic Life Support
The American Heart Association’s BLS Provider Course reflects science and education from the 2020 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
Who can do BLS?
- BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers.
- In-facility for hospital staff, nurses, physicians, dental offices, clinics, and urgent care facilities
- Prehospital for EMS professionals, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and security personnel
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
